The Spangenhelm was the most widely used helmet in Europe between the 6th and 12th centuries, adopted by Normans, Vikings, and Crusaders for its strength, practicality, and layered protection. Norman knights made it legendary during the Norman Conquest of England and the Crusades. This Norman Spangenhelm helmet faithfully reproduces that structure: a segmented steel dome joined with riveted bands (Spangen) and equipped with a face guard that protects the lower part of the face while maintaining visibility and ventilation. Handcrafted by Lord of Battles in 16-gauge mild steel with a polished exterior finish.

The sewn leather suspension liner cushions the head and distributes weight evenly for greater comfort during extended events.
