Templar Swords – The Steel of the Knights of God
Honor, faith, and the symbols of the Temple
During the Crusades, the Knights Templar rose to prominence as defenders of the Christian faith and guardians of the Holy Sepulchre. Their power lay not only in their prowess in combat, but also in the sacred symbols they proudly bore: the Red Cross Pattée , the Seal of the Temple depicting two knights on a single horse, and the Latin inscriptions invoking divine protection. At Medieval Shop , these insignias come to life in our exclusive collection of Templar swords .
The spirit of the Templar knight
Warrior monks by vow and knights by destiny, the Templars swore to defend the faith to the death. Their motto, “Non nobis Domine, non nobis, sed Nomini Tuo da gloriam” (“Not to us, Lord, but to Your name be the glory”), was engraved on many of their weapons, a reminder that their cause was divine. Each sword was an extension of their soul: a promise of justice, purity, and sacrifice.
Templar emblems and design
Templar swords are notable for their balance between simplicity and symbolism. Their blades and hilts feature Latin crosses , Latin inscriptions , and heraldic emblems that evoke their unwavering faith. The color red represented the blood of sacrifice, and white, the purity of spirit. These symbols adorned both the weapons used in combat and the ceremonial swords used in the Order's oaths.
The most legendary swords of the Temple
