Bobruisk Helmet - Rus Viking Helmet, 10th-11th Centuries
A High Middle Ages European helmet
This Bobruisk helmet is inspired by a find associated with the ancient Rus and dated between the late 10th and early 11th centuries. Its conical shape and decorative details evoke the helmets of the Eastern European High Middle Ages, making it ideal for portraying a Rus warrior in historical reenactment, LARP, theater, film, or television.
A reconstruction full of details
The piece is handmade from approximately 1 mm brass sheet, with reinforced areas up to 3 mm and decorative metal appliqués. The spike, rivets, copper-toned reinforcement strips, and front and side ornaments create a striking silhouette. It includes an adjustable leather liner inside and a leather chin strap with a brass buckle.
