The Simplicity of the Early Middle Ages
This dress reproduces the style of women's garments from the Early Middle Ages (8th–11th centuries), a period when women wore simple linen or wool tunics with a loose fit. The minimalist design reflects the attire of peasant women, craftswomen, and middle-class women in early medieval Europe. The dividing seams in the skirt and the side darts at the chest are tailoring techniques documented in textile finds from the period, which allowed for a better fit and drape of the garment without the need for complex structures.
Made of Durable Canvas
Crafted from durable 100% cotton canvas, this dress offers exceptional durability for frequent use in reenactments. With a floor-length (150 cm in size M), dividing seams in the skirt for an elegant drape, and side darts at the chest for an optimal fit. Available in sizes S to XXL (chest circumference 88–128 cm). Ideal for mid-season wear and historical representations. Machine wash at 40°C on a gentle cycle, do not tumble dry.
