DescriptionThe old Khan sat astride his favorite horse, its warmth penetrating the saddle. This was where he felt most comfortable. A horse beneath him, the open sky above him, and the freezing rain made his face numb and icicles form in his beard. Seeing the enemy, he touched his bow, enjoying the soft, worn leather as he stroked it like a younger man might caress his lover. As he gave the order, thousands of arrows flew across the sky, blotting out the sun and killing the enemy by the dozens. It promised to be a great day.
The Ready for Battle Horsebow Deluxe is a realistic-looking bow modeled after the composite bows used by horsemen like the Mongol hordes of the 12th and 13th centuries. The bow has a fiberglass core and is covered in soft suede. Its draw weight of 24 to 26 pounds ensures that the bow is built to last without having enough force to injure an opponent. The leather grip is not only a stylish and attractive detail, but also ensures a better grip.
Some things to keep in mind with this bow are that it is handmade. It has been sanded to make it smooth and comfortable to use. The bowstring is also handmade and may have some loose strands. These can be removed and closed with a controlled flame, but be careful not to overheat. The string is included with the bow.
The bow weight is 24 to 26 pounds, measured with a 28" shaft, but may vary +/- 3 pounds, as it is made of natural materials. Similarly, the appearance may also vary.

Maintenance
When not in use, keep your bow unstrung to extend its lifespan. Store your bow horizontally to protect the tips. Don't leave it in the sun for long periods of time; if you do, make sure it cools before using it. Never unstring without an arrow, as the shock of the shot will be absorbed by the bow and could cause damage.
Cleaning
Use a damp cloth to wipe the dirt off the bow and then dry it. It's that simple! The only thing you might have to worry about is the string, which may look frayed or worn over time. Replace the string when this happens. The string is cheaper than replacing a broken bow with a broken string!
If you want to extend the lifespan of your rope, you can add a little wax. The wax will protect the thread from moisture while keeping the strands together.
