The original Petromax fire pot, often called a Dutch oven, is ideal for cooking and baking outdoors or in a home oven. Cast-iron pots have existed since the 18th century. Even then, the unique properties of cast iron were appreciated. With the Petromax fire pot, this tradition continues, and it is also equipped with many sophisticated details.
Petromax cast-iron quality
Thanks to the excellent properties of cast iron and the special surface structure, heat is stored and transferred efficiently. The pre-treated surface (seasoned finish) makes initial seasoning unnecessary, and the robust fire pot can be used immediately. Outdoors, it is used over an open fire or with charcoal. The raised edge of the lid allows embers or charcoal to be placed on top of the fire pot. The fire pot is heated from all sides and is also suitable, for example, for baking bread.

The fire pot has sophisticated details that facilitate handling and increase the pleasure of cooking. A sturdy handle allows the fire pot to be lifted safely, three legs give the fire pot a secure base, and a thermometer port allows you to check the temperature without having to lift the lid.
