The neck knives in the Cold Steel® Mini Tac® collection are so thin and light that they can be worn comfortably practically all day, both over and under clothing! Thanks to the sturdy bead chains and the durable Secure-Ex® sheaths designed specifically to hold the Mini Tac® - to hold the knives securely but also to allow for quick and easy removal - these practical neck knives are suitable as utility, EDC, or rescue knives and are even the ideal camping companion. Their versatility is almost inexhaustible.
Each Mini Tac® has a thin, textured handle made of Griv-Ex™. This means they can be worn flat and close to the body and offer an optimal gripping surface. Combined with the integrated sub-hilt (finger guard), these handles give the hand incredible leverage and prevent the knife from turning. This ensures a remarkably secure grip.
The blades, made of stainless steel, have been heat-treated with the latest technology and polished to a very sharp finish. For their size, they are incredibly robust, which is due in part to the full-tang construction.
A welcome addition to this popular collection, the Mini Tac® Bowie offers the well-known versatility of a stable, sharp clip-point blade and is perfect for both all-terrain use and as an EDC knife. It comes with a Secure-Ex® sheath that includes a steel bead chain and will serve you for many years.
8Cr13MoV Stainless Steel
8Cr13MoV has properties similar to AUS 8A and is a proven steel ideal for manufacturing work knives. In Cold Steel®'s own tests, this high-carbon stainless steel has proven to be tough and corrosion-resistant. Like AUS 8A, it has good edge retention and can also be easily resharpened.
