The Kami Tanto by Hanwei is a masterpiece of traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Hand-forged from K120C powder steel, this piece pays homage to the kami, the protective spirits of Shinto, depicted in its reliefs with solemnity and respect.
The blade: a balance of strength and beauty
The folded blade features an engraved Fudo Horimono and a bo-hi that lightens the structure without compromising its integrity. The folding process reveals a unique surface grain (hada) and a pronounced hamon, symbols of a refined and functional temper.

The tsuka is covered with highest-quality ray skin, while the sageo is woven from authentic Japanese silk. The fuchi showcases the kami in an elaborate relief, accompanied by copper, silver, and gold accents. The two-piece habaki combines copper and gold-plated brass, bestowing elegance and solidity upon the assembly.
The saya: an expression of solemnity
The saya is painted in deep red with a black section near the mouth that simulates a wrapped tsuka-maki. All fittings—kojiri, koiguchi, and kurigata—are crafted from blackened bronze, integrating the aesthetic in total harmony.
