Your numerous travels require armor designed to last. You rely on pieces like your RFB Viking greaves to keep you strong! Along with your sword, sturdy shoes, and skill, you hope to please the gods in many battles. You certainly have the instincts of a warrior.
DETAILS
Epic Armoury's Battle-Ready Viking Greaves are elegant leather greaves designed to protect the calves. The armor is constructed from leather straps cut from chrome-tanned split leather and interlaced to create a beautiful design. The armor secures to the leg using sturdy leather straps and brass buckles.Viking greaves have an additional hem made of soft split leather to prevent the armor from warping with excessive use. This armor matches our Viking armor and bracers, but has a distinctive, neutral style that will fit with almost any wardrobe combination for your first adventure.
Available in black and brown, and in size medium.
HISTORY
- Inspired by the lamellar armor worn by the Vikings, which would have included small iron plates
- Historically, using only leather as armor is inconclusive: most Vikings wore normal clothing and carried a shield for protection.

Maintenance
Natural leather products are very durable, but they require regular maintenance with leather care products to stay supple and increase their lifespan. Make sure your leather products stay dry when stored. Let wet leather dry naturally before treating it. If it gets wet and dries frequently, increase the frequency of maintenance.
Cleaning
Clean by removing dry dirt with a brush designed for suede, then gently rub with a clean, damp cloth until the leather looks clean. Use a dry cloth to wipe away any remaining water from the leather.
Conditioning
Treat the leather annually with a clean cloth, using a suede oil, gently rubbing a small amount of oil or polish into the leather in circles. Allow the leather to soak in the oil before wiping it with a final clean cloth to remove excess residue.
