DescriptionIn the forgotten ruins you walked carefully, your Orc Cleaver clutched tightly in your barbaric fist. The wind whipped against the walls, cold and merciless.
Though there may be old traps and danger of frostbite, you continue without any hint of fear. You are a brave warrior of the north, and you have come to hunt the elusive winter deer that now hides behind these walls. You will slay it with your sword and bring it back to your people.
DETAILS
Epic Armoury's Orc Cleaver is a latex-hybrid short sword for the vicious orc or rustic barbarian. The sword measures 60 cm long from tip to pommel, with a chipped and battered single-edged blade. The serrated crossguard protects your entire hand and a handle molded and painted to resemble leather cord, while the blade is painted to resemble rusted metal.
With a rugged and sharp appearance, this Orc Cleaver is our highest-quality piece of equipment due to its impressive durability and detail. The blade is made of closed-cell foam around a fiberglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, while the handle is made of polyurethane foam, allowing for greater detail and zero maintenance. This hybrid sword model will give you confidence in the safety and appeal of your weapon on the battlefield.
INSPIRATION
- The earliest references to orcs are found in Old English and Anglo-Saxon sources, such as Beowulf , and in 16th-century Italian folk tales.
- The word itself comes from the Latin word Orcus , which was the name given to the Roman deity of the dead
- JRR Tolkien's 20th-century Lord of the Rings series describes orcs as brutal, aggressive beings with a taste for human flesh.

Maintenance
The handle of this hybrid weapon requires no special maintenance, while the blade has a latex coating that requires a certain amount of care. For this purpose, we recommend using maintenance silicone, which can be purchased separately in the LARP Accessories section. Epic Armory Maintenance Silicone is an easy-to-apply spray, 100% pure, and acid-free, making it safe to apply. We recommend using Maintenance Silicone regularly, taking care not to spray the handle by first wrapping it in plastic wrap. This maintains the flexibility of the latex layer and prevents it from drying out, keeping the product resistant to wear and tear.
Store your firearm flat or on its pommel, NEVER on its tip. Use a simple sheet or towel lining to prevent it from touching a plastic or rubber surface and prevent your firearm from sticking to other materials. Keep your firearm in a cool, dry environment.
