The 1st Century AD Roman cavalry helmet
This Roman cavalry helmet is inspired by a find from Xanten, the ancient Colonia Ulpia Traiana, an important Roman settlement on the Lower Rhine. Dated to approximately the 1st century AD, its design represents the more ornate side of Roman equestrian equipment and is ideal for historical reenactment, LARP, theater, film, television, and collecting.
A handcrafted replica
Made of 1.2 mm thick steel, this helmet stands out for its skullcap decorated with a relief reminiscent of hair, its side cheek pieces with gilded motifs, and its ornamental details. A decorative band runs across the piece and culminates in a front medallion featuring the figure of a legionary. The leather inner lining is adjustable, and the side straps help secure the helmet.
