This magnificent helmet is a faithful reconstruction of the famous find from Port, near Nidau in Switzerland, a nearly perfectly preserved specimen dating back to the 1st century B.C. representing the late La Tène period. A piece that connects directly to the warriors who faced Caesar's legions in the Gallic Wars.
From Gallic Warrior to Roman Legionary
Crafted from 1.2 mm thick steel, this Port-type Celtic helmet features the characteristic rounded dome, wide neck guard riveted with five rivets, recessed eyebrows, and articulated cheek guards. It includes a 100% cotton padded cap that ensures comfort during long days, and internal rings for attaching a chin strap. This design was so effective that the Romans adopted it, evolving it into the iconic Imperial Gallic Weisenau-type helmet. Ideal for historical reenactment, LARP, collection, or display. It is recommended to clean with a dry cloth and apply protective oil regularly.
