The cold winter winds pierced her gloves like a thousand daggers piercing her skin. It didn't matter. She drew back the string and leveled the bow. One whiff, one shot, and an enemy would never wake again.
The Battle Ready Bow is a realistic-looking bow modeled after the composite bows used by horsemen like the Mongol hordes of the 12th and 13th centuries. The bow is 119 cm long and made of fiberglass and wood. Its draw weight of 24–26 lb means the bow is built to last without being so powerful as to injure an opponent.
Some things to keep in mind with this bow are that it is handmade. It may have some loose wood or fiberglass strands. These should be carefully removed before use. The bowstring is also handmade and may have some loose strands. These can be removed and closed with a controlled flame, but be careful not to overheat. The string is included with the bow.
The bow weight is 24-26 lbs, measured with a 28" shaft, but may vary +/- 3 lbs, as it is made of natural materials. Similarly, the appearance may also vary.

Maintenance
When not in use, keep your bow unstrung to extend its lifespan. Store your bow horizontally to protect the tips. Don't leave it in the sun for long periods of time; if you do, make sure it cools before using it. Never unstring without an arrow, as the shock of the shot will be absorbed by the bow and could cause damage.
Cleaning
Use a damp cloth to wipe the dirt off the bow and then dry it. It's that simple! The only thing you might have to worry about is the string, which may look frayed or worn over time. Replace the string when this happens. The string is cheaper than replacing a broken bow with a broken string!
If you want to extend the lifespan of your rope, you can add a little wax. The wax will protect the thread from moisture while keeping the strands together.
