Women's Viking attire from the Early Middle Ages in Northern Europe
This Early Medieval Viking coat is made of sturdy canvas-style cotton fabric and is fully lined. The embroidered trim features a Celtic knot pattern inspired by the edge of the Lärbro picture stone in Gotland. The cut is fitted in the torso and flares towards the hem using gores or triangular inserts on the sides, with pockets in the side seams at hip height. As this is a coat with an open front and no closure, it is recommended to wear it with a belt. The elaborate design and contrasting color details make it a visually striking piece.
Combine it with a simple undergarment, a strap dress, and matching accessories to create a harmonious Viking woman's outfit.
