The loose-cut medieval dress features geren (gores) on the sides and reaches the floor. Geren are wedge-shaped pieces of fabric that gave medieval clothing its generous hem.
The gathered neckline is inspired by an archaeological fragment from Pskov (also Pleskau), Russia, which belongs to a Viking dress dating from the 10th century. It has an opening in the middle of the front and can be adjusted with a ribbon. The sleeve hems can also be gathered with ribbons.
The dress is made of simple cotton fabric and can be worn as an underdress or an outer dress. The white and natural colors are slightly transparent when backlit.
For example, if the dress is combined with a hood and an apron or surcoat, the result is a harmonious outfit for a maidservant.
