Complete your medieval attire with this crescent-shaped coif.
Veils were an essential part of female wardrobe throughout medieval Europe, symbolizing modesty, social status, and religious devotion. They also served a practical function, helping to keep hair clean.
Depending on the era and the character, the veil was often combined with a coif to increase modesty.
Linen was the most common choice for coifs, valued for its durability, ease of cleaning, and resistance to the elements. Wealthier women often wore veils made of finer fabrics, but natural or bleached linen remained a timeless classic.
This reproduction is a small semicircle. It can be worn under the chin as a coif or over the head as a small veil. When worn as a veil, it is suitable for those who desire a smaller veil, and it is small enough to be suitable for children or teenagers.
It is made of a natural-colored cotton and linen blend (87% cotton, 13% linen).
Whether you are portraying a noblewoman, a merchant, or a peasant, this veil is the perfect complement to your costume.
