The cult status of the 1873 Colt Single Action Army revolver (M1873, also known as SAA, Peacemaker, or simply Colt .45) is indisputable. Developed based on a Samuel Colt patent, this cartridge revolver was a robust pistol with a closed frame, a six-shot rotating cylinder, and an ejector for right-handers. Apart from the Winchester carbine, almost no firearm better symbolizes the Wild West than the Colt SAA. This true American piece has been produced in a variety of barrel lengths, but its general appearance has not changed since its introduction.
Our beautifully crafted replica of this world-famous Western weapon is the compact version, called the snub-nose (or snub-nosed) extra-short barrel (2.5 inches / approx. 6.4 cm). It features grips made of synthetic resin with a wood look and burnished metal elements with an aged finish. Like the original, it has a rotating 6-chamber cylinder, which rotates further when the hammer is cocked and can be loaded with the supplied decorative cartridges. The cartridges are fed through a pivoting side loading gate.
Our firearm replicas are intended exclusively for recreational and decorative purposes. The revolver's mechanics are fully movable, but this reproduction is non-functional and incapable of firing.
