The RJ Martin Flythrough is equipped with an exclusive blade pivot (also designed by RJ), the so-called see-through pivot or
STP. This oversized pivot bolt is hollow in the middle, allowing you to see right through it. Furthermore, the handle
features a cutout directly behind the pivot that, when opened, reveals the end of the blade tang. These two features make
this already impressive knife even more exciting. For comfortable adjustment of the special pivot screw, Kershaw has designed a specific tool,
the so-called STP pivot tool (available separately, item number: STPTool).
The Flythrough features a drop-point blade made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with an attractive swedge (a beveled, but unsharpened,
top part of the blade). The black-oxide finish gives the knife a beautiful monochromatic look and provides extra protection against corrosion. For optimal
control while cutting, a concave thumb ramp on the back of the blade provides a secure rest for your thumb or index finger.
The fluid, well-shaped lines of the steel handle give the knife an even more dynamic look. A secure locking mechanism is guaranteed by a
sturdy frame lock, and thanks to its deep carry convertible pocket clip, the Flythrough sits deep and securely in your trouser pocket.
