Robert's Rebellion, sparked in part by the alleged kidnapping of Lyanna Stark (Ned's sister and Robert's betrothed) by the heir to the throne, Rhaegar Targaryen, united four of the Great Houses of Westeros (Baratheon, Stark, Tully, and Arryn) against the ruling house. And it was precisely this warhammer that Lord Robert carried with him when Prince Rhaegar's army faced the insurgents in the decisive Battle of the Trident. A bitter duel finally erupted between the two men. When Robert, though wounded, killed Rhaegar with a single, devastating blow to the chest, he ultimately sealed the end of Targaryen rule as well.

Extensive notes and descriptions by George R.R. Martin served as the basis for the careful design of this highly collectible item. The hammer has been crafted with the greatest attention to detail, and no effort has been spared to achieve the most authentic reproduction of the details from the original text.
Important note: This is the second edition of this warhammer. While the first edition (long sold out) was limited to 2,000 pieces and was personally signed by George R.R. Martin, the second edition offered here is neither numbered nor signed. However, the scope of delivery also includes a certificate of authenticity and a decorative wall mount.
