Cuisses, poleyns, and greaves
Reduced price defective item: compared to the standard version spqr-ap500m, these leg guards are made of approximately 1.2 mm thick steel (instead of 1.6 mm) and are slightly shorter. additionally, the leather straps are a lighter shade of brown and some rust can be seen in some places. for these reasons, this item is reduced in price.

This wearable and fully articulated leg replica of medieval plate armor worn in the late Middle Ages is handcrafted from 1.2 mm steel and blackened on the inside for better corrosion protection. it protects the thighs, knees, and lower legs.
The leg armor consists of cuisses, pointed poleyns (or knee cops), and hinged leg tubes to protect the shins and calves. the necessary freedom of movement is ensured by a sliding mechanism in which the various overlapping elements are connected to each other by sturdy steel rivets. the upper edge of the cuisses and the lower edge of the greaves are beaded. additionally, the cuisses are equipped with riveted leather pieces with pre-punched holes on the upper edge. on the outside, the knees extend to form striking wings approximately 17 cm high and 14 cm wide that curve toward the back of the knee. three adjustable, riveted leather straps, approximately 2 mm thick, and brass buckles allow for an individual size adjustment.
These articulated leg guards are equally suitable for medieval reenactments, larp, stage, tv/film, costumes, or cosplay. they are ideal for late medieval settings and will make your transformation into a proud and noble knight or warrior simply perfect!
To ensure that the armor is the right fit for you, remember to take your measurements with a gambeson (and/or any other clothing or chainmail you plan to wear underneath).
The steel used here is not stainless and may show slight signs of corrosion. we recommend maintaining the plate armor regularly, for example with ballistol, a universal oil that is ideal for preserving steel products.
