War Scythe - 60 cm

Description

The alarm bell rings in the town while you are working in the fields, and there is not enough warning for the farmers to find safety before the raiders close in on you. All you have is your scythe, and this is what you clutch in your worn, calloused hands as they descend.

Together with your fellow workers, you fight bravely. They don't expect peasants like you to fight so hard! You don't want to die, so you also feel grateful that the raiders seem as untrained as you are, as the combat continues.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury's War Scythe is a 60 cm latex short axe with a 20 cm blade. The weapon is completely hand-painted with wood and metal finishes. The blade is angled and designed to match the realism of the handle in a traditional way, with a deadly hook on the end inspired by weapons that can pierce armor... as well as a more obvious farmer's tool!

Made from durable closed-cell foam around a fiberglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can be sure that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you want when creating your kit.

HISTORY

  • Designed as a weapon against armored opponents at close range
  • Considered an improvised weapon used by peasants in uprisings, while the blade would have been rotated to look more like a spear
  • Usually attached to a pole and used as an agricultural tool

Quality

  • Strong latex coating with a round fiberglass core
  • Strong Kevlar core tip protection
  • Made from durable closed-cell foam that does not shred
  • High safety, approved by leading organizations

This product is handmade and painted and is therefore unique. As a result, compared to similar item numbers, this product may have natural deviations in pattern, color, and shape, which are not considered defects or faults.
We produce our image material in a natural environment, where lighting and surroundings can affect colors and contrast. Therefore, the images shown may appear different from the product you receive from us.

All measurements are in cm unless otherwise stated.

Maintenance

All latex-coated weapons need a certain degree of maintenance. For this, we recommend using maintenance silicone, which can be purchased separately in the LARP Accessories section. Epic Armoury maintenance silicone is an easy-to-apply spray, 100% pure and acid-free, making it safe to apply. We recommend using maintenance silicone on a regular basis. It maintains the flexibility of the latex layer and prevents it from drying out, keeping the product resistant to wear and tear.

Store your latex weapons horizontally or on their pommel, NEVER on their tip. Use a simple sheet or towel liner to prevent it from touching a plastic or rubber surface to avoid your weapon sticking to other products. Keep your weapons in a cool, dry environment.
