Black lightweight polyurea Captain gorget
High-neck gorget for LARP to complete a fantasy armor set
The Captain gorget recreates the silhouette of its mild steel version in molded polyurea (PU) foam, with considerably less weight. Designed for fantasy costumes, LARP, and reenactments, it wraps around the neck and extends over the collarbones, upper chest, and back. Its dark black finish maintains the aesthetic of the Captain range without the weight of a metal piece.
Fantasy armor with flared plates and riveted details
The high neck is combined with flared front and back plates that follow the profile of the steel version. The riveted details reinforce the appearance of forged armor. The opening on one shoulder makes it easy to put on before closing and adjusting the piece.
Leather fit and laces in sizes S/M and L/XL
The full-grain vegetable-tanned leather tabs on the shoulder and the laces on the lower edge allow you to adjust the fit. It is available in S/M and L/XL. It pairs with the Captain breastplate, pauldrons, faulds, and arm and leg guards, which are sold separately.

Fitting and care
The fastening system allows you to make most of the adjustments. For a more precise fit, the material can be gently reshaped with heat, applied to the inner side and not on the painted surface, following the manufacturer's instructions.
The base under the paint is black and may become visible with scratches or wear. Small cosmetic imperfections can be touched up with primer and acrylic model paints. Occasionally condition the leather pieces to maintain their flexibility. Marks and patina are part of the natural evolution of the finish.
It is a fantasy armor costume piece; no protection certification for combat has been provided. For LARP, check the rules of your activity.
Complete your Captain set at Todo Medieval with a lightweight gorget that continues the silhouette of your black armor.
