9th Century Haithabu Viking Sword - EN45 Steel with Scabbard - Replica from the Haithabu Viking Museum
A single-handed Nordic medieval sword with a five-lobed pommel, faithful to the original preserved at the Haithabu Viking Museum (Schleswig, Germany)
The archaeological site of Haithabu (Hedeby), the most important Viking trading emporium in Jutland (Schleswig, Germany), was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2018. Among its most notable finds is this 9th-century sword, attributed to a Danish noble or a wealthy Nordic warrior, now on display at the Haithabu Viking Museum. This historical sword embodies the defining features of the Early Middle Ages Viking sword: a short guard, a double-edged straight blade with a wide fuller, and the unmistakable five-lobed pommel in brass. The blade is forged from heat-treated EN45 spring steel, with a wooden grip wrapped in red leather and decorative brass rings at both ends. An excellent choice for buying medieval Viking swords with a genuine museological basis at an affordable price.
