If this sword could speak, it would tell ghastly tales of the vast numbers of decapitations it has carried out at the hand of a bellicose Celtic tribal warrior. Heads of fallen enemies were often displayed prominently for all to see. Time and use have taken their toll on this once magnificent sword, which is now bruised and aged, but of course; it remains a reliable and fully functional weapon that gets the job done.
The Battle-worn Celtic leaf blade sword by Epic Armoury is a hybrid latex longsword inspired by the Celtic tribes of early history. The sword measures 60 cm in length from tip to pommel, with a double-edged blade designed for chopping thanks to its leaf shape. The detailed crossguard and crescent-shaped pommel feature golden accents and protect a sculpted grip. The handle is molded and painted to look like leather and is ergonomically shaped, allowing for comfort and an impressive appearance without the need for leather maintenance. With unique effects of painted and sculpted details, such as rust spots, nicks, and scratches.

Maintenance
The polyurethane handle of this hybrid weapon requires no special maintenance. The leather wrapped around the grip requires care.
Leather grip care
Natural leather products are very durable but require regular maintenance with leather care products to remain supple and increase their lifespan. Ensure your leather products are kept dry when storing them. Allow wet leather to dry naturally before treating it. If it gets wet and dries frequently, increase the frequency of maintenance.
Cleaning
Clean by removing dirt with a hard brush, then gently rub leather soap with a clean, damp cloth until the leather looks clean. Remove the soap with a separate damp cloth to clean off any soap residue and then use a dry cloth to wipe remaining water from the leather.
Conditioning
You should always condition the leather after cleaning, as the soap will have removed some of its natural oils. Treat the leather with mink oil, olive oil, or beeswax using a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of oil or wax in circles into the leather. Let the leather soak in the oil before wiping it with a final clean cloth to remove excess residue.
Latex blade care
The blade of this LARP weapon has a latex coating that needs some degree of maintenance. For this, we recommend using maintenance silicone, which can be purchased separately in the LARP Accessories section. Epic Armoury maintenance silicone is an easy-to-apply spray, 100% pure and acid-free, making it safe to apply. We recommend using maintenance silicone on a regular basis, taking care not to apply the spray to the handle by wrapping it in plastic wrap first. It maintains the flexibility of the latex layer and prevents it from drying out, keeping the product resistant to wear and tear.
Storage
Store your weapon horizontally or on its pommel, NEVER on its tip. Use a simple sheet or towel lining to prevent it from touching a plastic or rubber surface to avoid your weapon sticking to other products. Keep your weapon in a cool, dry environment.
