This new Titan Solstice™ model, with its exclusive anodized finish, takes this already incredible folding knife to a new level.
In an "entropic" anodizing process, an oxide layer with a random pattern is created on the surface of the titanium handle through the use of heat and ferric acid. The resulting surface is sometimes called "entropic anodizing," in reference to entropy, the state of randomness and disorder of matter.
The mist or lightning patterns created by this process vary from knife to knife depending on the nature of the process, and color tones also vary from blue to dark violet. The oxide layer created during anodizing is also extremely durable and does not wear off. If the handles have become dull after prolonged use, a quick cleaning is enough to return the surface to its original luster.
