This model, which was widely used in Afghanistan as standard equipment by members of the Italian Nibbio mission, is part of an experimental project to renew individual equipment initiated by the Alpine Troops Command. During the preparation of this important commission, the Alpine Troops Command tasked a team from the company with creating complete and renewed individual test equipment. Extrema Ratio is the company chosen by the Alpine Troops Command to develop a multi-purpose knife for the infantry. What was needed was a knife that could be used all over the world and that could successfully address any problem that specialized equipment could not solve. The Fulcrum is an extremely stable and maneuverable knife. The blade can withstand breaking loads of over 150 kg. The tip is very stable and the tanto profile allows the knife to be used for a long time without the last section becoming serrated. The advanced center of gravity and the weight of the blade make it suitable for heavy field work. The new rigid sheath allows for comfortable and safe transport.
