Demko Freereign fixed blade knife, blue-gray
The Freereign fixed blade knife was designed by Andrew Demko to be a tool for heavy-duty use. He specifically chose the shape of this blade, which is very reminiscent of the AD15, but with a significantly longer and more powerful blade, because of its versatility. It is almost a spear point, but the tip is slightly above the centerline, resulting in a large amount of belly and a sharp tip that really makes this knife shine. The handle is relatively compact - in relation to the blade - and is both extremely comfortable and extremely durable.
The knife features a patent-pending molded plastic sheath that allows you to carry the knife exactly how you wish. A nylon belt loop is included for vertical carry. This loop can be configured for scout carry or to accommodate any standard belt adapter on the market. The guys at Demko have thought of everything with this sheath and, while it may be simple, it is one of the strong points of this knife. As we all know, a good knife is not often used without a good sheath, so we are glad to have something suitable for such a high-quality knife. People love the clean look of this design and its wide, strong blade with a sturdy handle, both of which seem capable of handling anything.
