Skinner Knife & Holder
DescriptionWith luck (and some skill) you manage to catch a rabbit in one of your traps. You think it's surprising that some wolf hasn't already snatched such a fat bite. As you place it over your shoulder and return home, you hope your own family will be thrilled about the wolf's loss.
You skin the creature outside the doorstep of your modest home using your knife, usually kept safely in your Skinner knife holder. You save the hide to turn it into something useful. With a few more skillful movements of your knife, your rabbit will be ready for the stew.
DETAILS
The Brown Skinner knife holder by Epic Armoury comes with a knife and is specifically designed to hold the curved throwing weapon Epic Armoury's Skinner Knife. The handmade holder attaches to a belt or armor via two leather straps. A leather strap buckles over the knife, keeping it secure even in rough fights.
Made of brown full-grain leather with reinforced stitching around the edges, this weapon holder is designed to maintain its shape and withstand the abuse of a LARP with regular leather care.
Available in black and brown.

- Knife throwing was first used in martial arts and hunting before it became a sport
- Throwing a knife was always considered a risk in martial arts, because a missed attack would leave you without a weapon while arming your attacker

Maintenance
Natural leather products are very durable but require regular maintenance with leather care products to remain flexible and increase lifespan. Ensure your leather products are kept dry when storing them. Allow wet leather to dry naturally before treating it. If it gets wet and dries frequently, increase the frequency of maintenance.
Cleaning
Clean by removing dirt with a stiff brush, then gently rub leather soap with a clean, damp cloth until the leather looks clean. Remove the soap with a separate damp cloth to wipe away any soap residue and then use a dry cloth to wipe the remaining water from the leather.
Conditioning
You should always condition the leather after cleaning, as the soap will have removed some of its natural oils. Treat the leather with mink oil, olive oil, or beeswax using a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of oil or wax in circles into the leather. Let the leather soak in the oil before wiping it with a final clean cloth to remove excess residue.
