If for any reason you are not satisfied with your order, you have a period of 14 calendar days, starting from the date of delivery of the order, to process your return due to withdrawal.

The delivery time for products made to order or personalized may take longer than usual depending on the current workload.

You may terminate the purchase contract made in our online store by sending an email within the aforementioned period.

You must send the item or items back to us by your own means. Shipments sent "carriage forward" (cash on delivery for shipping) will not be accepted.

Medieval velvet bodice, underbust corset, black



Shaping corsets appeared in the 16th century and were part of undergarments. They had straps and gave the upper body a V-shape. The corset created a high waist and flattened the stomach and breasts.

In the 18th century, the desired silhouette changed. The hourglass shape became fashionable and the corset became strapless.

Corsets are characterized by their extreme shaping properties. They are rigid and are always classified as underwear.

Bodices (or waist cinchers) are less rigid and are generally worn visibly.



Our underbust bodice is made of black velvet and has a cotton lining. The longitudinal seams are reinforced with stays. When laced up, they create a beautifully feminine silhouette. The bodice is laced at the center front and back at the waist level. An underlay at the center back covers the gap that would otherwise remain visible when lacing the cords. The lacing cord is slightly elastic, which is very beneficial for lacing and wearing comfort.

The bodice is of very high quality and very comfortable; you will be surprised.



The velvet bodice can be combined well with a blouse and skirt or over a loose dress. If you don't want an authentic look, you can use this bodice to complete your pirate, shield-maiden, witch, or noblewoman costume.
