Cold Steel® Spike series
The Cold Steel® Spike series of neck knives are thin, lightweight, and extremely robust. These neck knives feature sharp blades made from cryo-treated German 4116 stainless steel with a "zero-ground" edge and structured, deeply grooved handle scales that are ergonomic, providing a comfortable and secure grip.
The integrated guard elements ensure the index finger and thumb do not slip onto the blade and remain protected, while the deeply textured Griv-Ex™ surface offers excellent grip even with cold, wet, or slippery hands.
These neck knives are available in four different blade styles (Bowie, Drop Point, Tanto, and Tokyo). They offer all the strength of a solid one-piece steel construction but remain light enough to be worn all day with ease.
For even better storage and safety, every neck knife in the Spike collection comes with a Secure-Ex® sheath. The Spikes are extremely lightweight (knife and sheath together weigh approximately 85g!) and can be worn comfortably around the neck all day long. A black ball chain is included as a carrying cord. Thanks to the sheath design, which is compatible with the Tek-Lok® carrying system, the knives can also be carried on the waistband or belt.
4116 Stainless Steel Knife
4116 steel is a fine-grained stainless steel for knives. It is often used for pharmaceutical equipment and high-quality kitchen knives. Its balanced carbon-to-chromium ratio ensures first-class rust protection and great strength. Very fine, extremely sharp cutting edges can be ground. An excellent choice for hunting/outdoor knives and kitchen knives and utensils.
