Maintenance
Natural leather products are very durable, but require regular maintenance with leather care products to remain flexible and increase lifespan. Ensure your leather products are kept dry when storing them. Let wet leather dry naturally before treating it. If it gets wet and dries frequently, increase the frequency of maintenance.
Cleaning
Clean by removing dirt with a stiff brush, then gently rub leather soap with a clean, damp cloth until the leather looks clean. Remove the soap with a separate damp cloth to clear away any soap residue and then use a dry cloth to wipe the remaining water off the leather.
Conditioning
You should always condition leather after cleaning it, as the soap will have removed some of its natural oils. Treat the leather with mink oil, olive oil, or beeswax using a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of oil or wax in circles into the leather. Let the leather soak in the oil before wiping it with a final clean cloth to remove excess residue.
