Made from a wood traditionally used for bows, the Osage Orangewood LARP bow has a gorgeous wood grain finish, resulting in an authentic and historical look. It's perfect for hunting food or enemies and for creating your Native American shaman or wild elf and animal character. Featuring the iconic longbow style, this bow is ideal for LARP, practice, and more. The bow tips are reinforced with fiberglass, and the grip has a laced, leather-like wrap. Both right- and left-handed archers can use this ambidextrous LARP bow. Practice your technique or strike an enemy from a distance with this real wood LARP bow.
The draw weight of this shelf bow is approximately 28-29 lb (+/- 5 lb) / 13 kilograms / 448 oz measured with a 28" shaft. As this is a wooden bow, the draw weight will drop by about 3-4 lb after a few shooting sessions. The string is included with the bow.

Maintenance
When not in use, keep your bow unstrung to extend its lifespan. Store your bow horizontally to protect the tips. Don't leave it in the sun for long periods of time; if you do, make sure it cools before using it. Never unstring without an arrow, as the shock of the shot will be absorbed by the bow and could cause damage.
Cleaning
Use a damp cloth to wipe the dirt off the bow and then dry it. It's that simple! The only thing you might have to worry about is the string, which may look frayed or worn over time. Replace the string when this happens. The string is cheaper than replacing a broken bow with a broken string!
If you want to extend the life of your rope, you can add a little wax. The wax will protect the thread from moisture while also holding the strands together.
