In 1973, Lynn C. Thompson bought the first knife made by knife maker Lloyd Pendleton. The two quickly became friends and worked together on one of Cold Steel®'s most popular projects: the critically acclaimed Pendleton hunting knife series.
The Pendleton Mini Hunter was designed with one goal in mind: to shrink a practical hunting knife to the smallest possible size. Despite its small size and discreet appearance, this magnificent hunting knife can even skin, gut, and process large game. The Mini Hunter is an essential tool and a perfect addition to any hunting or survival kit. A durable and weather-resistant Secure-Ex® sheath is included, ensuring safe storage while remaining light enough to guarantee optimal comfort all day long.
Since 2015, the Pendleton Mini Hunter has also been available with a blade made of high-quality American CPM 3V carbon steel.
CPM 3V Steel
This modern tool steel may be a bit more expensive, but it is surprisingly tough and extremely wear-resistant. It is a fine-grained powder steel. With its very uniform microstructure, it offers first-class impact resistance and great edge retention, even with very fine cutting edges. It is a perfect steel for larger blades where extreme durability is required.
