DescriptionAll of our LARP weapons are handmade and hand-painted to meet the high quality that is our Epic Armoury standard. However, due to their handcrafted nature, these items may be produced with cosmetic defects. In case one of our hybrid longswords arrives with the incorrect paint color or an imperfect shape, we offer it at a reduced price instead of throwing it away. We don't like wasting material, and you get a great deal!
About our hybrid longswords
The Epic Armoury LARP hybrid longsword collection includes various styles to suit your character's aesthetic and fighting style. From the elaborate Caprine sword with its leather-wrapped handle to the historically inspired Dai Katana, this range of 90-120 cm swords will stand out against the competition on the battlefield.
Our hybrid LARP swords are designed and built to be as safe as possible. The blade is made of closed-cell foam around a fiberglass core and finished with a thick layer of latex. The tip is manufactured with a strong Kevlar core to protect against injury. The crossguard and handle are made of polyurethane foam, poured into a mold to give it the greatest detail, and require no maintenance. These handles are incredibly durable and comfortable to use.
Ordering a second-quality weapon
When you order a second-quality hybrid longsword, you will receive a random hybrid longsword with an aesthetic imperfection. You cannot choose the specific style, as we cannot guarantee which one will be available. We DO guarantee that, whatever the design, the product is safe to use, despite its aesthetic defects.

The handle of this hybrid weapon does not require any special maintenance, while the blade has a latex coating that needs some degree of maintenance. For this, we recommend using maintenance silicone, which can be purchased separately in the LARP Accessories section. Epic Armoury maintenance silicone is an easy-to-apply spray, 100% pure and acid-free, making it safe to apply. We recommend using Maintenance Silicone regularly, being careful not to apply the spray to the handle by wrapping it in plastic wrap first. It maintains the flexibility of the latex layer and prevents it from drying out, keeping the product resistant to wear and tear.
Store your weapon flat or on its pommel, NEVER on its tip. Use a simple sheet or towel lining to prevent it from touching a plastic or rubber surface to avoid your weapon sticking to other products. Keep your weapon in a cool, dry environment.
