The Epic Armoury Folding Shovel is a 60cm foam shovel, handcrafted to mimic an entrenching tool used by both military personnel and survivalists. Entrenching shovels like this particular model have been used since World War II and were considered a necessary part of a soldier's gear. They were even considered auxiliary weapons, sharpened, and used in close quarters during the Battle of Stalingrad.
Constructed from EVA foam around a solid 8mm fiberglass shaft, this folding paddle is finished with a durable latex coating to prevent breakage and give it a smooth, realistic surface. The 39cm handle is hand-carved and painted to resemble real wood grain, while the 31cm long head has a beautiful military green metallic finish with distressed edges.
The shovel head doesn't actually fold, but it includes fine details to give the impression that it can! It's also reinforced to prevent the shovel head from breaking, despite heavy use. Use this improvised axe against raiders, zombies, and radioactive rodents, while maintaining an air of practicality thanks to its multifunctional nature.
A tool for military strategy

- The trenching tool was designed to fold easily for transport and serve as both a shovel and a pick.
- Entrenching tools were also considered a weapon and were often sharpened by soldiers during World War I and II.

All latex-coated weapons require a certain level of maintenance. For this purpose, we recommend using maintenance silicone, which can be purchased separately in the LARP Accessories section. Epic Armory Maintenance Silicone is an easy-to-use spray that is 100% pure and acid-free, making it safe to apply. We recommend using Maintenance Silicone regularly. It maintains the flexibility of the latex layer and prevents it from drying out, keeping the product resistant to wear and tear.
Store your latex guns horizontally or on their pommel, NEVER on their tip. Use a simple sheet or towel lining to prevent them from touching a plastic or rubber surface and prevent your gun from sticking to other products. Keep your guns in a cool, dry environment.
