The legendary bow. The same type Robin Hood and most of the English army used in the "old days." While a recurve bow is fast and powerful, the longbow will allow your arrow to fly straighter and for much longer. So, whenever it's more advantageous to launch your attack from a distance, rely on your trusty Epic Armory LARP longbow.
Made of wood and fiberglass, this impressive bow has an authentic medieval look and can be used by both right- and left-handed warriors. Inspired by the traditional medieval English yew longbow, it provides a genuine sense of a time when skilled Yeowmen used to win wars for their king.
This LARP bow has an attractive light wood finish and black fiberglass tips. A leather-look laced wrap forms the grip. Whether you're aiming to hit a target or take down an enemy from afar, this fiberglass and wood longbow is a great weapon for any LARPer to have on hand.
The draw weight of this bow is approximately 27 lb (+/- 3 lb) / 13 kilograms / 448 oz. with a 28" shaft. Dacron string is included with the bow.

HISTORY
- Yew is a type of tree and is generally considered the best type of wood for making longbows.
- The archers of the King's own household were called the Yeomen of the Crown . They were specially trained and rightly considered elite even among experienced archers.

Maintenance
When not in use, keep your bow unstrung to extend its lifespan. Store your bow horizontally to protect the tips. Don't leave it in the sun for long periods of time; if you do, make sure it cools before using it. Never unstring without an arrow, as the shock of the shot will be absorbed by the bow and could cause damage.
Cleaning
Use a damp cloth to wipe the dirt off the bow and then dry it. It's that simple! The only thing you might have to worry about is the string, which may look frayed or worn over time. Replace the string when this happens. The string is cheaper than replacing a broken bow with a broken string!
If you want to extend the lifespan of your rope, you can add a little wax. The wax will protect the thread from moisture while also holding the strands together.
