It includes the double shoulder (collar part) shown, made of the same material with brass buttons and hooks and a leather trim. The leather is vegetable tanned. These shirts are characterized by their excellent workmanship.\u003cbr\u003e   \u003cbr\u003eThe RM chain mail is made of rings with a diameter of just 6 mm. According to the original templates, it consists of a row of riveted rings (round rivet heads) and a row of perforated rings. Due to the extremely small diameter of the rings, these chain mails could be made then and now from steel with a material thickness of just 1 mm without losing their strength. This results in a weight reduction of approximately 30–35%. We abbreviate this type of braid RM (English = \u003cb\u003eRoman\u003c\/b\u003e \u003cb\u003email\u003c\/b\u003e ) because it was already very popular among the Celts and Romans (Hamata).
