Thompson recognized that many of the elements that make a great knife also prove ideal as a survival tool: a sharp blade, a solid point, a good hand guard, and a versatile handle are all key ingredients. After stripping the kukri down to its essentials, he was able to redesign the knife from the ground up.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e The redesigned blade presents itself in a completely different light: it has lost nothing of the cutting power that made the kukri a legend, but its striking power and penetrating power have increased. The handle with integrated guard not only protects the user's precious fingers but also gives the knife a significantly different balance and weight distribution.\u003cbr\u003e  \u003cbr\u003eThe newly named \u003ci\u003eRoyal Kukri\u003c\/i\u003e has been extensively tested in practice. It proved to be an excellent multifunctional hunting knife, suitable for the toughest hunting tasks, from chopping firewood to shooting wounded animals.
