He served the British crown with loyalty and devotion under Henry II, Richard the Lionheart, and Johann Ohneland. The sword now resides in a British museum.\u003cbr\u003e   \u003cbr\u003eOur reconstruction is based on the original in great detail. It is a purely manual work. The forged and heat-treated cast iron crossguard and pommel impress with their simple elegance and functionality. The spring steel blade extends to the pommel, where it is hand-riveted. The handle is wrapped with a leather strap. The blade has a pronounced groove, giving the sword great elasticity yet lightness. It is oil-hardened to approximately 48 HRC. The blade edge is unsharpened. The sword comes with a very attractive wooden leather scabbard with brass rings for attaching it to the sword belt.\u003cbr\u003e This is the battle-ready version of this high medieval sword.
