The thin, wide, double-edged blade, made of 1055 carbon steel, has been tempered to spring hardness, fully sharpened, and polished.    \u003cbr\u003eThe sturdy, leather-covered wooden handle offers the ability to wield the competition cutting sword with one or two hands and ensures maximum control and leverage even for the most demanding tricks. To protect your fingers and ward off enemy swords, the sword is equipped with a steel crossguard that is as simple as it is effective. A beautiful, flared, diamond-shaped steel pommel provides a good counterbalance to the wide blade.\u003cbr\u003e The scope of delivery includes a robust, durable black leather sheath with a steel bezel and muzzle plate.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cb\u003eCarbon steel 1055\u003c\/b\u003e  \u003cbr\u003eThe carbon content and relatively low levels of other materials in this steel make it a very stable material, free from the brittleness inherent in most high-carbon steels.
