The original origin of the sword, now in the Wallace Collection in London, is unknown. However, it was likely found in France, and the pronounced signs of corrosion suggest a river find. It is classified as Type XV according to the Oakeshott typology and dates to around 1350–1400. This period suggests that the sword was used during the Hundred Years' War between France and England.
This replica has a double-edged blade that tapers sharply toward the tip, with unsharpened cutting edges. The handle consists of a crossguard curved toward the blade, a wooden grip wrapped in brown leather, and a disk pommel with a rounded recess in the center.
The sword comes with a brown wooden/leather sheath.
This medieval sword is designed as a collector's item or decorative object.
