The strong tang is riveted to the solid wrought iron pommel. The wooden handles are secured with seven iron ball-head rivets. The upper half of the blade is triple-fulled. It is hand-forged from EN45 spring steel, oil-hardened, and tempered to approximately 48–50 HRC.
