It is very sharp, completely flat, and has a satin finish. The combination of steel and grinding results in a knife that cuts effortlessly, performs excellently in all kinds of different tasks, and has good edge retention, yet is still easily resharpened. Due to the shallow angle and thinness behind the cutting edge, the type of sharpening selected here is not suitable for so-called \"batoning\" or \"prying,\" but is designed for efficient cutting.\u003cbr\u003e  \u003cbr\u003eThe handle is made of black micarta (a composite of linen and epoxy resin) and is therefore resistant to moisture, cracks, and impacts. Brown coatings have been installed between the handle scales and the steel to extend the knife's lifespan.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e The knife comes with a durable black sheath made of 3mm thick vegetable-tanned leather.
