The rust is minimal and doesn't affect the security of this armor, and it can be improved with a little elbow grease and special care. The elongated sides protect the flanks, while the shorter front and back plates are secured together by sturdy leather straps and iron buckles. The shoulder guards are reinforced with a leather strap running from the front plate to another set of iron buckles at the back.
